Default Which Video Card is Better?

Dual GeForce 8500 GT 512MB
Dual ATI RADEON HD 2600 PRO 512MB

Is one better over the other? Or would you stay away from one paticular card of the 2?

Thanks

The 2600 would be better, btw do you mean sli/crossfire with dual?

SLI= is a term for using 2 nvidia cards at the same time increasing performance

Crossfire= same as above but only works with ati cards unles sli which works with nvidia only

You can see some benchmarks from here

7600GT is better than both, and it is just cost the same

Yea, but then again the 7600GT isn't a DX 10 card.

So, what ?

The DX10 feature in 8500GT and HD2600Pro is useless, it will barely run any DX10 game. It just like the DX9 features in Geforce FX is useless, the FX series can barely run any DX9 game..

So, it would better to get a faster DX9 video card than getting a low end DX10 video card that will barely run any DX10 game

...................

By the way, it is better to get one good video card, than dual video card. I'm pretty sure that one 8600GTS can beat dual 8500GT or HD2600Pro

I agree with maroon.

7950GT would be a nice card around $200 that would run any DX9 game nicely.
