When you say constantly goes into blue screens do you mean that you can't do anything in Windows? Does it crash immediately?

Unplug any unnecessary USB devices from your system.

If you can boot into Windows normally, try to download the latest USB drivers for your motherboard (from another computer if need be), then use Device Manager to update them.

If you are crashing immediately try to boot in Safe Mode and update your USB drivers from there.

what's your motherboard make and model? and yeah, you could try updating their drivers.

Okay, so I downloaded the WinME USB drivers and just poked around in them, and they make mention of 2K and XP, saying that USB2.0 drivers are made available in SP4 and SP1 respectively.

I'm assuming you probably have SP2 installed, so you're probably fine. Just maybe check if Device Manager is making any complaints about your USB subsystem:

Start -> Run -> devmgmt.msc
