Question Salvation By Grace Alone

if one cannot be saved by being good because no amount of goodness is enough (Eph. 2:8-9), can one (after being saved by god) lose it by being bad?

for example if you commit one of the deadly sins like killing or adultery and then went to church for forgiveness, since it is written in the bible that you can be forgiven, and then commit the same crime the next day and ask for forgiveness again can you still be saved ?

i dont believe it says anything on the number of times you can be forgiven. so yes that would work.

edit: this would apply only in methodism. ie catholicism not be able to do so.

but then you'll never have truly lived. You'll never get to experience true happiness, true satisfaction, the true meaning to life.

well i'm catholic, and though it's poor character to repent for the same sin repeatedly without trying to not do it, there is nothing saying you can't

Are you sure about that? I think the best OPTION in this case would be to consult someone who truly knows the religion (priest).

its a known fact that god forgives those who confess their sins.. no matter if u comitt them again or not.. when u are a child of god any mistakes will be forgiven..but it would be wise to try and learn from mistakes
