Primex

I have Windows XP and everything was fine until suddenly a file came up missing ending in dll. Basically a guy at Geek Squad told me that I had to reinstall. Now I reinstalled with a cd that someone lent me. It worked for 3 days and now today I start my computer and windows loads to a black page. Does anyone know what the hell I did this time? It looks like windows loads but nothing comes up on the screen. The same thing happens with Safe Mode. I can see the actual words "Safe Mode" stuff around the screen, but everything else is black.

reinstall again, but first boot into a drive wiper cd and kill everything

And next time this happens, go Start > Run then type
sfc /scannow
then hit OK. Follow instructions that pop up on screen.

This is after you run your AV software.
