The 8800gts is one of the best cards out right now, the only thing better is a 8800ultra or a 3870x2. And you cpu is a good cpu, but not the best. However it is quite allright to get that cpu and the 8800gts and upgrade the cpu later. It boils down to, it's your computer do whatever you want to with it.
