Hi guys im new to the site names Devon. I dont know a lot about computers and im learning main reason I joined this forum. Now for my question, Im in the Navy so a laptop is better for my needs but I love to play games and I want to build a laptop but a friend told me that it is damn near impossible, is this true? If not can you tell me were to start. Thanks for any info.

The only laptops you can "build" are some bare-bones models. Basically all the process includes is adding a hard drive, RAM, and CPU. Perhaps a wifi card and GPU depending on the specs and model...

It's possible. It would be very hard to locate all the parts that would work with eachother. Ie a mobo that would fit a laptop housing.
If you want to build a laptop your best bet is to buy a barebones and add the cpu, ram, and hdd. Other than that, buy premade. EDIT-TOO you beat me lol

as The_other_one said it is possible using a barebones kit. its actually fairly easy, but i dont think you would save that much, if any money. if you are still interested check out Asus's new barebones kit, and check out www.newegg.com for prices on parts you will need

Alienware- build it the way u want and u get great quality with great gaming graphics. might be a little pricey but id recomend it , if u want good gaming.
