Default unsolved computer mysteries

have you notice sometimes when you dont use a computer for awhile say... a month without turning it on. it will not turn on and after a cmos reset it will turn on... wierd.

never experienced a problem like this before. must be very specific. last month i went through and took inventory for a friend's classic computer collection. the machines ranged from 7-12 years old and i can promise you none of them had been booted up in 2007, and likely not even 2006. yet there was only one that had a boot problem. that was because the motherboard was blown to bits. literally multiple pieces in the case. i have yet to find out how or why....
