You could build a good gaming pc for around 1700 especially because AMD lowered the prices greatly on the 3800. If i was going to build one for 1700, it would have a Nvidia 6800gt, Amd 3800, 1gb Crucial ram, SLI motherboard, and a few other things. All of this from Newegg.

New egg does not ship to the UK,..but I think Tiger Direct does.

I have an Alienware feels like it weighs 900 pounds... lol
