Default Cant use print screen

I cant seem to use my print screen. Everytime I press the print screen key and try to paste in paint, theres nothing there. I tried holding alt, crtl, shift and any other thing I can think of but it wouldnt take a print screen. I read somewhere about turning the Fn key off but I dont have a function key on my keyboard. Any suggestions?

I just tried that on my computer. No do. I think "Print screen" means it prints directly to the printer.

I have always used the Print Screen button to take a screenshot, and pasted it into Paint. I've never had a problem with it in any Windows version up to and including XP. I haven't tried it in Vista (and not sure what OS you are using), so maybe that functionality is missing in that OS but I cannot say.

Again, I will confirm that it has always worked for me in other Windows versions.
