So i was reading in the news that google is going to bid upwards of 4.6 billion on the MHz frequency band the government is going to auction off in the near future if the government will meet certain conditions. I was wondering what anyone thought of this, of if anyway heard about it at all. What are you opinions? Personally i think google is doing something really good here by trying to force the telecoms into a more competitive nature. Then again it does give them easier access to place ads everywhere in mobile broadband content. Here is a news article for those of you who haven't heard anything about this.

wont affect me, here in Australia, will be interesting to see how it eventually plays out. Maybe the telco's will bid higher to block google from potentially destroying their cash cow.
