Hello everybody, having some outlook 2003 problems. I receive an attachment in an e-mail. When I double click to open it, instead of just opening the attachment, it opens a new e-mail, with the attachment I wanted to open in the attachment field of the new e-mail
![]() There's a picture replicating the problem (although that wasn't the actual problem, that's what happens when I double click an attachment of a different incoming e-mail) I'm thinking maybe there's a setting? Not sure though. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Plat

He can open the file those ways, but he just wants to be able to double click it and have it open. It's never had this problem before, just recently. (the problem isn't on my computer, somebody else in the office) And as far as teh attachment in that image, that PDF is fine, it's nothing. It's an attachment I put in to take a screenshot to show what is happening.
Edit: I'm going to remote into his PC when he steps away for lunch and I'll see if I can figure it out, get a better idea of what the problem is.

it has nothing to do with the attachment itself. It doesn't matter if it's a pdf or a doc file, xml file, doesnt matter - the same thing happens.
