Default Router for wired Ethernet Lan

I will be setting up a wired Ethernet Lan at home. Since my cable modem is a Linksys I was going to get a Linksys Router. However, while checking prices on Newegg I see that the rating is not very high for the Linksys wired router BEFSR81, eight ports, $75.

The 3 Com 3CR858-91 router has a much higher rating.

Any recommendations on these routers or the D-Link.

Thanks

Well if the Linksys router fits your needs, get it. The reason that the ratings are so low is because they don't know how to set one up. Cisco/Linksys routers pretty much run the internet.

I use these a lot and my clients seem to be pretty happy, just get this. The reviews may be low but, most ppl are used to plug & play These are pretty simple to configure on any type of connection.
