Thanks anyone using Linux or who just knows. And also does one like Susie or Mandrake. Dan |

you can run a dual boot system, if the hdd is big enough. Mandrake will ask you if you want to boot to the windows or linux portion of the system. In school we had win 98 win2000 pro and mandrake on a 40gb hdd. BUt that was with nothing else on it. So go for it, just make sure you read up on it and follow the screens and you should be fine. Maybe on day, you will never use xp again

I am partial to Suse myself...I used Partition Magic to divide up my hard drive, then installed Suse on the spare partition, the bootloader, (Grub), detected windows perfectly and it all went well. If you do not have a copy of PM, I would consider getting a 10G harddisc and install Lunux on that; a small HD is cheaper than PM.
