when i used one, i tied off to the radiator.
but i think its pointless to use them now. just be careful and dont touch anything with any resistors or caps or the pcb board and your fine.
as for frying components, i fried an 8800gt
i smacked my finger with a hammer and rubbed my jeans to numb the pain. then picked up my 8800gt and i heard a crack or 2. didnt load at all so it was an rma.
