Default need a program

is there a program tha searches a folder and tells you if there is dupucated files in it.

how and what would i use i have vb 2003 but i have no idea how to program.

I'm pretty sure that this is a freeware utility. You can choose what folders you want to scan and it will get rid of the duplicate files.

ok then sorry to say but im not looking for a virus infestation that program had like 4 viruses in it.

dont bleave thes programs i have use several of them now and found them all to be fill with prolbems.i found way to fix my prolbem with just wondows. and found this to be more effective then useing the virus infesteed programs.

so do tell how you fixed the problem coz im having the same sort of thing with my picture collection i know i have duplicated files alot but i don't know which are duplicates coz i don't want to loose originals that aren't duplicated

do the pics have the same file name. you creat a new folder and put all your pics in it if there are dups then windows will come up and ask you to eather replacce it not.you selcet not.
