I have my computer set to go into hibernation when the power switch. It goes into hibernation correctly without any problems, but upon resuming from hibernation, the computer begins the shut down process immediately. It works fine when I choose to hibernate from the start menu. I have to have the hibernation working by pushing the power button because I have a power controller that turns the computer off and on when I start and turn off my car by means of the power switch. I have a Dell 4600 mobo BTW if that helps. Is there a setting in the BIOS that is conflicting with the software power settings?
Here is a pic of my newly finished carputer: ![]() |
