8800 GTX is about 500$. If you don't have the money get the 320 MB 8600 GTS or the 640 MB.

resolution depends on your monitor and video card. monitors max resolution and the max resolution the card supports.

having more memory on the video card allows you to run games at higher resolution without problems.

Well i am going to play my games at 1024x768 so i don't think theres any problem using a low memory card
