Exclamation Dedicated And Partially Shared Video Cards

Can anyone tell me the difference between a Dedicated And Partially Shared video card?

I was looking into buying a new computer and i play alot of games so I want the graphics to be good. In the computers I was looking at one had a 320mb dedicated video card and one had a 623mb partially shared video card.

Witch video card would be better for gaming and whats the difference between them? Also I was told I could turn off the partially shared part and just have it set to dedicated, Is this true?
