Default First build, help a noob :)

Hi everyone, noobie here.

I am trying to build a gaming computer on a budget, I am trying to keep the total cost below $550.00.(not much I know)

I already have the monitor, mouse and keyboard, sound system, and a friend has some ATX cases I can have so I think I can get the following and still stay in budget.

Is all of this stuff compatible?
What else do I need?(if anything)

Also which video card would be best for gaming?

EDIT:Or would this card be better?

And do I need a aftermarket CPU fan or will the one that comes with the CPU work?(I don't plan on doing any overclocking)

If I do need a CPU fan are there any good ones in the $25-35 range?

Sorry for all the question, I'm new at this.

Thank you for any info.
Michael.
