Default Desktop problems (again)

I'm going to format my computer and start fresh, however I have some problems.

I have the Windows XP disk, but....my CD drive doesn't work. Broke awhile back, didn't really have time to fix it or anything.

So that option is out. Then again, once I reboot, I'm going to have to get a CD drive that works so I can install XP.

Would I be just best off buying a cheap drive and reformatting through that?

That's what I'm leaning towards, just wanted to check.

Yes, but I recommend you get 32x + . I have had problems with driver.cab on older drives.
