I recently setup VNC on my home MacBook, and I've successfully accessed remotely through the internet. I was excited til I found how ridiculously slow it is. I believe it's due to the 32bit color setting on my Mac and other such settings, but I don't know how to change any of that. I've tried using tightvnc viewer (form a pc) with 8 bit color, but that doesn't work. When I do, the screen starts to change (looks like a mess), and I get the error:

Well, I've sort of found a solution. I found that using OSXvnc instead of the integrated remote desktop for Mac helped. I can then access my Macbook from any computer online using realVNC viewer (and limit the colors scheme to like 8bit). Still, any other helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.
