Default Problem with connection

I'm having this problem with my Internet connection that I just can't figure out.

I have a Westell VersaLink modem that I use for my DSL connection and there are currently three computers hooked up to it: two desktops and one laptop. Most of the time now the internet is not working (we use Firefox). I've tried resetting the modem, disconnecting/reconnecting the PPP connection, etc., but nothing works. All of the internet activity seems only to be temporary. The thing is, though, my iTunes store loads fine 100% of the time and my IM services work. Any idea what the problem could be?

Edit: I also want to mention that when I go to a website, and then the connection wears out, I can still go to any of the websites that I viewed before the connection was lost, but I can't open any new ones.

Is there any wrong with your web page browser? Or just that the connection of your computer is to slow? I think you can can change your web page browser to have a try. Here is a IntelliLogin, I think it can help you.
Best wish!

Thanks for the responses!

phatkid5354: No, iTunes and IM never lose their connections.
liyunwinny: I use FireFox (latest version) but I haven't tried using a different browser. I don't know what could be wrong about the connection -- we've had it this way since January, and this just started happening. And forgive me for asking, but how will that IntelliLogin help me? It seems that it's only a form filler or something, or am I missing something ...?
