Default Compatable? Let me know

I'm looking at upgrading my hardware slowly. In order to get started I have a few essentials, but the main thing I wanted was to make sure the memory was compatable with the motherboard. There is two types for DDR2 533: PC 4200 and 4300. Which of the two is better and is either compatable?
