can't find system recovery and recovery cd is broke doesn't work
I have a compaq computer and i wanted to restore everything to factory settings. So i put in my recovery cd and chose the option for factory restore and it prompted me to push any key so i did and after that it said "Quickresote error #102:4" and said to push any key. So i did. Then it went to a screen that said "working....." so i waited for about two hours and nothing happened. After several attempts i started looking for another way to restore it but i haven't had any luck.
 any help would be appreciated.
