Hi
I'm wondering what RAM I should get for my motherboard. Either 2GB 800MHz with 4-4-4-12 latency for about $190 or get 2GB 1066MHz with 5-5-5-12 latency for about $305. It will be corsair RAM and if I get the 1066MHz one its Dominator RAM, and I will be getting 4GB. I don't want to spend a ton of money on the RAM so I was going to go with the $190 RAM but I thought I should get some opinions first. I have an Asus Striker Extreme motherboard, Quad Core Q6000, GeForce 7900GS XXX, 80GB HDD and 500GB HDD and a 1100W PSU. I don't plan on overclocking the RAM. Thanks |

I would take the lower latency because IMO the increased speed isn't worth the price difference.
Generally speaking, higher frequency is better than lower timings but only to a point.
