Angry DirectX 9.0C Problem...Urgent

I have been experiencing some error with my DirectX function. For example, when I try to play the game Call of Duty 2 which requires DirectX 9.0 C (which I do have), the game keeps giving me an error and doesn't launch the game (and I do have a GeForce 7600 GS). So I thought I might want to install DirectX again from Microsoft, so I did. However, when I begin the installation it sends me another error message saying that the installation process cannot be continue, and told me refer to an error log. Then I did, but in the log one says:

Quote:
[08/01/07 00:11:40] module: dsetup32(Dec 5 2005), file: setup.cpp, line: 1701, function: CSetup::SetupForDirectX

InstallPlugIn() failed.
I really have no idea how to fix my DirectX and get it working, please help

Thanks

Try downloading the June 2007 DX9 update from Microsoft's website.
