Question My Computer glitch

When I right click a device in My Computer, "Search" is highlighted and on top instead of "Open". Also, when I use "Run" to open a device, I go to Search Results. How do I convert back to "Open" instead of "Search"? Any ideas much appreciated.

ok, this might be getting redundant, but just so i know that we are on the same page....go to control panel>printer & other hardware>mouse. under these properties somewhere, it should say

Left Button : Click (default)
Right Button : Right Click (default)

Uncheck anything that may say Enable program specific settings. If this doesn't work than I'm lost, it should. Do you have any programs installed that may impose macros onto your mouse settings?

My mouse settings are default and "specific settings" is not checked. I know of no programs that would impose macros. I do not understand why my problem is mouse related. It seems more like a sysconfig matter but I could not find anything there. What next?
