External Hard Drive

I am going to need an external hard drive to transfer files from my desktop to my laptop and also to backup data off of my laptop. I have been looking around and found these:

What do you think of these? I don't need a portable drive because I will be storing it in my desk and won't need to move it. I want both USB and Firewire 400, Firewire 800 would be a plus but I'm not going to pay more for it. Also I don't need more than 200-300gb if that, most external hds seem to be around that.

do you have esata? if so take a look at this hard drive my gf has it its good (i know its a bit bigger than you said... but hey who ever had too much space right?) http://ecost.com/detail.aspx?edp=35404611 no firewire tho :/

I don't have eSATA.
