I've been reading through the threads for a few hours and I can't find anything to help me.
My hard drive bit the big so I bought a new one; a sata drive. Why? I have no clue. Anyway, I plugged everything in and started it up. I have the computer booting to CD so I can partition the drive and install windows. I'm getting an error that says bootable disk not detected. I talked to a friend who said the sata drivers aren't installed, that I need to put them on a floppy and press F6 when it says too. Well, I don't have a floppy drive connected but decided to try the sequance anyway. I turned the computer on and no where do I see where it tells me to hit F6. There's a spot where it says to hit F10 to do something. I went in there and saw the hard drive but I'm not sure what I'm suppose to do. It says something like, mirroring, stripping, spanning, so on. Anyway, I rebooted and continuously hit F6 but it still loaded to the not detecting a bootable disk message. What am I doing wrong and what am I suppose to do? |
