I agree with Speedyink there, it really is a personal thing. Different people consider each OS more stable than the other. Having used both I never really decided which was better. Vista seems quicker on computers with faster CPUs and at least 1.5GB RAM. But if you don't have those then XP is the way to go. Macbook Pros are generally pretty well spec'd put so I personally would choose Vista
