Hi i buildt a gaming pc but after 2 months the dvd disapaird from my computer and i only get error when i try to add hardware.... Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

i complained and got a new dvd burner but that is like that to what is wrong?

NEC DVD-burner AD-5170 IDE Black OEM DVD+R/+RW/DVD-R/-RW (Dual layer)
(the one i bought whit my computer)

Samsung DVD-burner SH-S182D IDE Black OEM (is the new i got when i complained)


I have tryd to change cables but nothing work

Are you pluging them in the secondary ide slot (unless you want otherwise)?
Are you setting the jumpers correctly?
Are the IDE cables broken?
Have you put the secondary drive on the secondary cable connector and primary to primary?

Well i dont know what you are saying i dont know what it is but my brother told me that i probaly dont have a jumper.

On my newest dvd burner it is only 2 things to put thing in(power and to main board) and no buttons
On the other it is diffrend there it is 1 to power 1 to main board and 2 small ones i dont know what it is to that was the one who worked befor
No buttons there ether.

The cables is not broken or atleast not the newest one.
ONly thing i did befor the dvd burner stopped to work was to carry it for 15 min very carfully maby the dvd burner got broken but then the new dvd burner shud work sinc it dont yous same cables ether
