I think that Windows XP Pro takes up +- 1.5 Gigs of space. However, it is worth it in terms of software support. I say go with the flow and upgrade.

How about best of both worlds
partition your Harddisk and make your PC Dualboot select which ever one suits you as http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/h...al_booting.asp read the above see the freeware list for free partition tools

win2k since you have a small hard drive.
winxp inflates to double the size when you install sp2. not too sure about win2k sp4 tho, but you should install that before going on the internet. ![]()
