Default Problem with dumping physical memory of new sticks

Hello!
I just purchased 2 x1GB sticks of ?Tandom Enterprises?
When I installed them into the mobo......
I get to the desktop and about a minute later I get a blue screen
with all kinds of info I cant read fast enough
and it said dumping physical memory.
I put the old sticks in and no problem. I also installed the new ones right.
Are the sticks just plain bad?
I emailed the seller and said I would like to upgrade to the Kingstons he sells.
I am just looking to learn from this situation
Thank you!
