Plus in his defense Dell is legit... I have a lappy and some @sshole spilt a beer on it within like 2 weeks of me getting it... and in 2 days a dell dude was at my house giving me a new mobo and keyboard no cost and checking everything else to make sure nothing else was messed up.

A big incentive for me to buy from Dell was their service and support. I dare anyone to try and say they will get a 3yr parts and labor plus a 3yr accidental damage plan from IBuyPower.com or Cyberpower.com. And even if they did, I doubt the service would be top notch. It would be second rate at best. The thing is, I've built many computers and anyone who has built before should know by now that it always requires a little more attention....especially when something goes wrong. This way I get 3yrs if Dell's unremitted service. I think that's great and I know I can trust Dell. But I'm gonna go with the 4GB now...yall have convinced me.

And by the way, I find this thread ridiculous in nature. It took 3 pages to answer one RAM question. And you may ask, "Why didn't you post in the RAM section?" And I would say, "If you have to ask that then you probably can't help me."

nope, if a 16 year old kid calls in for RMA on a bad part out of warranty the first question they would ask you is if you installed it yourself. Then they would tell you, well you just voided your warranty. had it happen to me when I was like 18 or so.
