Default Installing RAM

is installing new ram as easy as : buying the right one, taking the old one out, putting the new one in. or is there some kind of configuration you need to do?

Nope, you got it all covered. Just make sure you purchase the correct type. Maybe if you tell us what motherboard you have we can even help!
