Default [Album Review] Chuck - Sum 41

Artist: Sum 41
Album: Chuck
Released: 12th of October 2004
Time: 37:59
Numbers of tracks (with bonuses):16
Album cover (front):

The album was named after a UN Peacekeeper. Chuck Pelletier was in Congo when the band was filming a documentary for War Child Canada. A fight broke out during the filming and Chuck did everything he could to get the band in a safe place and evacuate them as soon as possible.
This album is the last one with the lead guitarist Dave Baksh, he left the band to continue with his band Brown Brigade.

Songs and comments:

1.Intro: A cool guitar intro, nothing special, it fits well in the album.
2.No Reason:9/10 The album starts with a very aggressive title, the band gives a lot of energy in this song, it makes you want jump everywhere .
3.We're All to Blame: 10/10 This song is amazing, slow during the chorus then fast again during the couplet. This is one of their single. It is another really aggressive Trash Punk song.
4.Angels with Dirty Faces: 8/10 A slow starting song that accelerates when the drums starts and doesn't stop until the end of the song. Another song about human struggles.
5. Some Say: 8/10 This is one of their slowest song on this album, lyrics are about a misunderstood generation. Very good song!
6. The Bitter End: 10/10 This is probably my favorite song on this album. It is most aggressive, with intense guitar solo by the lead guitarist and very fast bridges by the drummer. This song sounds like an old metal song. Love the guitar solo in the middle of the song .
7. Open your eyes: 9/10 Song about problems with your life. A good song well played by the drummer.
8. Slipping Away: 5/10 This is my least favorite song on the album. Sum 41 can make good slow song but this one is a disaster, the violins just ruins the song.
9. I'm not the One: 8.5/10 Very rythmed song. Makes you jump a lot. Lead singer has a very aggressive voice, which sounds like a punk lead singer. Good song.
10. Welcome to Hell: 9/10 A very good song that sounds like Does This Look Infected Album but has an aggressive guitar like in Chuck.
11. Pieces: 10/10 A slow song, very good one. Lyrics are amazing, kinda depressing but very emotional. Another single from this album. This is one of their best songs.
12. There's No Solution: 8/10 Another good song. Sounds a lot like the previous songs.
13. 88: 8/10 A slow start for a fast song, very good song.
14. Noots: 9/10 This is a bonus song, it sounds different than the rest of the album, a very good song.
15. Subject to Change: 10/10 This is the first version of Underclass Hero released as a bonus in Chuck. I prefer this version because it sounds a lot like the Chuck album rather than Underclass Hero. Very good song. They only kept the chorus for Underclass Hero
16. Moron: 10/10 Intense drums, headbanging vocals, makes a good Trash Punk song!
