The iPhone is going to be delayed in Australia because it can't be released under the same strategy as in the US. They can't lock people into one phone carrier because that contravenes the Trade Practices act. It constitutes third line forcing which it prohibited in Australia. Basically, you can't sell a product on the condition that you buy another product from another company, that is third line forcing and that is deemed to be anti-competitive.
I'm really looking forward to some iphone clones coming out, namely the M8 minione. It looks so good, a multi touch screen to boot as well.
