Default PC3200 or PC4200?

Ok so I want to upgrade the RAM in my laptop and I know it takes DDR2 PC3200 200 Pin SODIMM memory. But prices for it are a little high and I noticed that PC4200 were a bit cheaper...what's the difference between the 2 and could I run either?

You dont have a choice there, PC4200 is DDR2, completely incompatible with DDR RAM.

Apparently, for laptops, there is a DDR2-400. Sorry, i wasnt aware. In that case, then get those sticks. They should work fine.

well I don't really want to buy from that website...they don't even have the right picture up for that memory...but can I use both 4200 and 3200 then? Because I can find 1gig sticks of 4200 for less than 40 bux each. Otherwise the 3200 is like 45 each...just trying to save some money if I don't HAVE to spend it...
