Default Kubuntu

i put the kubuntu on my pc n i got this msg
"could not generate a backtrace as the debugger 'gdb' was not found

wat does this mean

It means gdb wasn't found/isn't installed.

What were you doing that generated this message?

ok i got kubuntu installed but i ran into another problem the pc i was tryin to install didnt work so i took the hdd and used another pc to install n it works
i put the hdd back in the other pc n it wont boot up it will ok everythin but as soon as i go another screen it jus suts there any suggestions

need more information, why won't it work? What are the error messages? Why did you pull the hard drive out? Can't help you unless you fully describe your problems.

ok gotcha my last msg was a different problem on the pc that im tryin to install it in i was using the live cd n it kept sayin ok to everythin but when it went to the other loading screen with the kubuntu logo it jus stayed there like it was frozen. so i took the hard drive out of the pc n put it in the other pc n installed kubuntu on it n i checked it twice to make sure i made it boot from the hard drive n it worked.
so i put the hard drive back in the pc n it did the same thing
if this helps even better im workin with a asus p5a motherboard with an
amd K6 processor with 512mb of sd ram adn i have a 40gb hard drive
is there anything i can do to fix this without changin the anythin cuz its all i have
is this more specific
