Hey all, I just sold my lappy in my sig on ebay for 800 bucks, Now I'm in the market for a new one and I'm searching for the best deal. So periodically I will posting some laptops on here whenever I think I have found a deal, and if you guys find one please post it on up. So far I have only found this dell:
My Components AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60 (2.0GHz/1MB) Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium 15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display with TrueLife™(glossy) 2GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHZ, 2 DIMM Size: 120GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM) 8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability ATI RADEON® Xpress1150 256MB HyperMemory™ (Integrated) Integrated Sound Blaster® Audigy™HD Software Edition 53 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery Dell 1505 Wireless-N My Software & Accessories McAfee SecurityCenter with anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall, 15-months Microsoft Works 8. DOES NOT INCLUDE MS WORD My Service 1Yr In-Home Service, Parts + Labor,24x7 Phone Support No Dell On Call Free 3 GB Online Backup for 1Yr 6 Months America Online Internet Access Included Also Includes Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem Adobe® Acrobat® Reader 7.08 Inspiron 1501 Windows Vista™ Basic Yahoo! Music Jukebox - Music Player With this config I wouldn't expect to be playing games on the highest settings but would I be able to play them at all? I played oblivion on my comp in my sig with mid-line settings so this comp should at least be able to do that and some right? Also does anyone know anything about that processor? Oh yea and it is $918 right from dell...deal?

looks pretty good except for the four letter word that rhymes with 'hell'. you didnt post a price, so i really cant say if its a great deal or not. also when cutting/pasting, please cut all that extra crap out. just the important stuff please, it makes it easier to look at a glance

Why do you think I got scammed? There wasn't anything special about that comp, I payed 1200 like 2 years ago. 1.86gh processor isn't that good, 512 mb ram sux, 100gb 5200 rpm hd isn't great. And the graphics card blew lol. I think I did alright since it was 2 years old.
Edit: And the price is right in the first post dude, last paragraph, $918. Is that an ok laptop? Could it play games on mid-level setting? I'm talking like Obliv, and like!

No, I mean you got a great deal on the sell if it's not a scam. I would put the value of the laptop in your sig at around $300-$400... $500 at the very most. For $800 you can buy a MUCH better BRAND NEW laptop.
The reason I warn you is because there are scammers on eBay that will use multiple accounts to bid something up ridiculously high, and then file a complaint with PayPal saying they never got the item, or it was damaged or whatever, and often they win.

Everything else in that build seems good, although if your concerned about battery life the 9 cell battery would be worth it.

I can't tell if the bidder is legit or not, He has like 4000 feedback at 99.8% good. It looks like he buys alot of stuff. It's for a business called like mpl parts or something out of Florida, I went to their site, apparently the sell replacement parts for computers. That would totally suck if they ripped me off though.
Edit: I've also talked to the person via email and he seemed pleasant enough I guess.
