Default Kotor Vs Kotor 2

graphics- I think these games are about equal except KOTOR 2 allowed for higher resouloutin settings. ( I had to go back to test this out becuase when I played the first one I was on my old computer which ment I had all settings on min. When I played the secound one I was on my new computer so all settings was on max. At first I thought Kotor 2 had much better graphics. I then went back to play the first one on my new computer and found that in reality they are pretty much equal when played on the same settings.)
Game play - Kotor 2 I think got a slight edge with the added jedi attack styles and a slightly better interface.
Story - The first one win here. Nothing can beat the story in the first game.
Interaction with NPC - I found the NPC had more interesting things to say in the first one.

Decent game for both although:
1. The camera interfacing sux0red. I would have liked to move with the mouse and camera pan with my mousewheel (MX1000)

2. The Force + Jedi master + lightsabre + point blank range = miss? I understand it a part of the DnD world but c'mon

Other than that i liked it

Are you sure? KOTOR2 ony allows 1024x768, I'm sure KOTOR offered that. And the game engine is pretty much unmodified (not to rag on Obsidian too much but Bioware would have made improvements ) All that was added was new powers, skills, feats and that stance feature. None of which is overly difficult to add (I've done it myself).

Amen. The story for KOTOR2 was pretty good all things considered but the ending just sucked, I can't give it away because well, theres nothing to give away. I think the big problem was Lucas Arts making unreasonable demands for a release date and a lot got left out, while Bioware could say "go **** yourself," they are plently big enough to 'stick it to the man.' Obsidian can't unfortunately, and you get a rushed to market buggy game with a somewhat weak story. It's too bad. Don't get me wrong though, I liked KOTOR2 but KOTOR1 was much better.

you are mistaken. I am running KOTOR 2 on 1280X1024. The max I could get KOTOR to run was 1024X764.

I agree with you cromewell that if bioware had made the game it would of been even more awsome. KOTOR 2 was good but bioware could of done better.
