Red face Can somone see this link please for help :P

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/sto...&category_oid=

Would this cpu actually be good for playing "Flight Simulator x" (fsx)
and be able to handle max settings, such as traffic maxed out ?

What i also want to know is will that cpu kick the amd 3500+ butt because the amd 3500+ has 2.2ghz and so does that cpu in that link so would it be worth the buy ?

It would be quite good for playing FSX, but perhaps not maxed as from what I hear it's very demanding. Also, more things:

1. If it's a pre-built then it may not support that CPU
2. You'll need a good GFX card as well to run FSX.
3. Don't buy from PC World, they're overpriced, Scan or eBuyer are good.

Pre built as in not constructed by yourself. That card would go quite well with that CPU.

Yup, but it has to be that particular socket. Use CPU-Z from http://www.cpuid.com and look at the package and report back here. Most likely it's socket AM2 but I'm ubnsure.

Well AMD CPU's are a lot cheaper than their Intel counterparts but you'd need to change the motherboard as well as the CPU to go Intel, that is though based on the fact that you have a socket AM2 motherboard because that can support DDR2 memory which is what the Core 2 Duo's generally utilise. If it's 939 or 754 then you'd also need new memory.

AMD's best CPu would be one of the FX series of processors but they run into treble figures in terms of price. Look at an AMD 6000+ or similar.
