Default Just bought me a new Geforce 5200, and not happy, any ideas?

Howdy, I just bought a XFX Geforce FX5200 PCI 256mb 256bit graphics card. Now, I know it is not the best card out there but shouldnt it be able to run new games? I try to play battlefield vietnam on it and I have extreme lag and chop even with the graphics at low and a 640X400 resolution! I can't even get passed the intro without chop, it is terrible. It skips every second and is very very irritating because I just paid 120 dollars for this and not seeing anything better than my old intgrated graphics. In fact, my integrated graphics played games better. My system meets all the requirements for the card and well over, but still it doesnt seem to work right. Any Ideas? I have xp pro if that matters and I have installed the newest drivers and all...but who knows...I wrote a nasty letter to xfx who knows if they will answer, but any of you got any ideas??

Do you have agp slot? If you do you should return the geforce 5200 and get your $120 back. Go to new egg and get this instead http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...102-426&depa=1 it will only cost you $97 and is much much better then your geforce fx 5200.

If you dont have a agp slot I would still return the one you got. geforce fx 5200 256mb are way over priced and performs no difference then the 128mb version. The only reason they make 256 versions is so they can sell it for more money.

If you have agp slot see if getting the radeon 9600 pro fixes all your lag probelms.

EDIT: sorry most this post was pointless since I just relize you have a dell 2400 that dont have a agp slot. You still should return your card. what you got is still way over priced. I would recommend getting this pci card. http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...139-166&depa=1 better and cheaper.

I hope you still able to return your card.

1. If possible, return cuz you paid too much
2. Its most likely better than your integrated graphics

I'm suprised that the 5200 has a 256-bit version. I thought they only had 128's.

The core is 256bit (as has every GeForce since the GeForce256 circa a long time ago) but nothing else is 256bit
