The DVD is internal, ATAPI bus, and it stopped working immediately after the EIDE-2-USB adapter has been inserted in the USB port, connected with a 250GB ATAPI HD. Besides, control panel does not show any device which is in conflict or not properly working.

Anyway, I will try the USB legacy setting of the BIOS as soon as possible.

I read somewhere that USB conflicts can sometimes cause the EIDE/ATAPI internal bus to be disabled...
