I have a LaCie F800 that I am trying to use as a big backup datatank for my 3 on board hard drives. The problem is that WinXP recognized the drive, but won't let me explore it or do anything with it. It is listed under drives in the Device Manager, and everything appears to be working fine. I have tried number USB ports, reinstalling the drive, and double checking everything. It still won't assign a letter to the drive or tell me more than it recognizes that the Lacie hard drive is there.
I had a similar problem years ago with another hard drive, but I can't remember how to it. It should be pretty simple, but I am stumped at the moment. |
