Default DS3L Vs. DS3R?

I've been looking at these two motherboards:

Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L w/ DualDDR2 1066, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, PCI-E x16

Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R w/ DualDDR2 1066, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, PCI-E x16

To me they seem identicle but are obviously not, can someone tell me the difference between the two?

I don't plan to overclock, and I'm going to be using a E6550, with 2 GB PC6400 RAM and most likely a Nvidia card.

I'm leaning towards the DS3L since the price is tempting, but am wondering if it's $100 for a reason. Will I be fine with that mobo?

Thanks.

The DS3L has half of the sata port the DS3R does, it doesn't not have raid and is practically a cheap version, if you don't need over 4 sata ports then go for the DS3L

I would only need SATA prots for a hard drive, and CD drive correct. I only plan to get one CD/DVD drive.

i would go for the second one:

1)optimized power savings, ultra cooling and extended system durability

2)supporti for both Blu-ray and HD DVD formats

I guess it's always worth it to spend a little more on the motherboard.

Best way to futureproof your computer.
