Default Help deciding on notebook specs

I'm going to buy a notebook from dell and need help deciding on a few details.

I would like to get at least 2-3gigs of ram, because i'll be gaming on it. Would it be cheaper to to buy a notebook with minimal ram, then bring it to a comp shop and add more?

Also should I upgrade to a Wireless-N Mini-card? in the near future will everyone be using 5ghz wireless n routers?

We need to know the specs.

As in

T7200

XXXhard drive
XXXmb Nvidia GeForce XXXX

And how much are you willing to pay

This notebook is nice

http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/pr...hs1&l=en&s=dhs

The Dell XPS M1710

and for €1,929 you get

Intel Core 2 Duo T7400
Windows Vista Home Premium
512mb 7950GTX < Best laptop card although gives bad battery life 15-30 mins tops.
160GB HDD
Intel® Pro Wireless 3945 802.11a/b/g Mini-PCI Card (for Core 2 Duo Processors)

Or If you want to get a better battery life then:

This one isn't as fast as a 7950GTX But this one is DX10 Whist a 7950GTX is DX9
I prefer the toshiba as my experince with them gave me 1-2 hours.

Well I can't call it a gaming laptop but I can call it a media centre laptop. Gaming laptops have 512mb Vram on them.

FAQ:
Why are you so oppsesed with vram?
Because it makes the GPU.
a 256mb is fine?
Yeah..... Why didn't Nvidia realise a 32mb Nvidia 8800ULTRA GTX
