Default Screwy Resolution

OK, I have recently acquired a 21" CRT monitor (Hewlett Packard P1100) and it is beautiful! I run it at a resolution of 1600X1200 with a refresh rate of 120Hz and it works great. However when i try to run some applications, mainly games (eg, it has done this with Warcraft 3 and Tactical Ops) the monitor like...turns off and the light on the front flashes orange. Sometimes it will show me some of the menu of the game then go off. The only way to get it back is to turn it off and quit the game.

I know its resolution can go as low as these games are currently set as it runs Starcraft fine which runs at 640X480...or is 800X600? It makes no difference as both the above games are set to this or higher...

So what could be the problem?

Thanks

Try 1280x1024 resolution because thats the recommended resolution for your monitor, see if there is a option to set the games your having the problems on to a lower resolution and see if that helps, if not i will help you out more if needed.

Nope. Doesn't work. When i start the game(s) it still just goes off, even with the monitor to 1280X1024. :S
