Post Mic Problem

I could not get my mics to work in my mic jack so I bought a new soundcard and it still doesnt work... mic is not muted in playback or recording.. So I got an usb headset in the mail with my rosetta stone.. now people can hear me but I sound really "robotic"

I cant figure this out!

I thought maybe If I could unistall my onboard sound completly then maybe it would work but I can seperate the componets in the device manager...

Any help would be great

Thanks All
