Default Doom 3 that great???

I personally don't think Doom 3 is that great. You feel like you are not in great control of your caracter and the guns are lame if you ask me. Plus i hate those futuristic looking guns where you have trouble figuring out what they do from the looks. I guess i am just used to the RTCW where everything is so fast and you can jump and run much more. In doom 3 when you play on hardest level is almost impossible to play perfect cause you cant jump away that easy....

And i find it more disturbing than scary. All this blood and screaming etc, but it doesnt really go under your skin as i thought it would. (thrilling wise)

Plus even with my Radeon X800 XT the game skips sometimes, i know its not the best card but i thought it was enough for Doom 3 at least....

And why do your oponents and coworkers like fall apart when you hit them with a simple flashlight, lol

Default I agree

I agree, story, gameplay, and control wise, Half Life 2 easily trumps this. HL2 is simply the better game. BUT, you should get Doom 3 for the engine anyway.

Guess why i got it, its still a fun game to play and of cours i love the challenge, but i was just making a point on how overrated it is with people saying: Best game ever, most fun, best this best that....i just dont think its worth the attention its getting. Half Life is the godfather of all....cant wait till Half Life 3, or maybe they should call it: Full Life and a half, or something

Default naw

Doom is the grandfather of all games, Half-Life is the father of the modern day games, HL2 is the smart, popular son, and Doom 3 is the big, muscular idiot son.

Well not exactly that scary but when you have your friends over and at two oclock in the morning with each of you having stereo headphones on...It is pretty scary, we only played it for a few hours because crouding around his computer wasn't fun
